Overall the performance of the Hitachi CP-X445 is very impressive. A crisp bright image is this Hitachi's hallmark. From an overall standpoint, it is a well done blend of pure performance, a relatively small package, and a user friendly design.
There are a number of projectors that come to mind which represent direct competition, including the less expensive Panasonic L735u, and the equally expensive Epson Powerlite 830p, so this is not a truly unique product, but Hitachi has created a well thought out machine, that will serve the bulk of users that seek a 3000+ lumen, extremely well.
Don't forget the great warranty. I'm big on warranty coverage, reliability and ease of use. Of course I can't guess at this projector's long term reliability (although Hitachi claims they are the best!), but the warranty, and ease of use, are way better than most.
