Hitachi iPJ-AW250N Projector: Bottom Line

The bottom line on the Hitachi iPJ-AW250N is that it is definitely an interactive projector with an incredible amount of features. It can achieve a very large image from just a foot or two from the screen. Its native resolution of 1280x800 makes it more compatible with wide screen users. Its light output was bright enough for just about any environment you could present in.

Image quality was an area of concern since the image did not seem to keep its sharpness uniformally across the whole image. This might have been just a particular issue with the unit that was being evaluated, but it was definitely noticeable.

Video performance was quite good for a business projector and to use this iPJ-AW250N as your sole means of displaying entertainment and or educational content to a classroom eliminates any need for another video delivery solution. Just hook up a DVD player and it the projector will handle the video without any issues.

The interactivity with regards to the pen and the StarBoard software was as feature rich as you could ever want, however for some they might find it all a bit overwhelming. To get full use of this projectors interactive features is going to take some time. I should note that the interactive features are limited to PC only and that should be a consideration should you have multiple teachers using the same projector.
