Viewsonic PRO8300 Projector - Warranty

Viewsonic offers a better than usual warranty for projectors in this class.  The PRO8300 is warranted for three years parts and labor on the projector and a full year on the lamp.  Many projectors with conventional lamps like the PRO8300 only offer a separate 90-day warranty on the lamp, so the PRO8300’s one year warranty is a big plus.  This is particularly important as the lamp is only rated at 2500 hours in Normal mode (where it’s most likely to be used).  So, with a normal workday’s use every day, one could easily approach the lamp life limit.

In addition to the three-year warranty, Viewsonic also offers their Express Exchange Service for the first year.  This service guarantees that in the event of a failure, a replacement unit will be shipped to your registered location within 48 hours (business days only).  You then send your faulty unit to Viewsonic, who also pays the freight both ways.
