BenQ (in the US) provides a one year parts and labor warranty on their W100 home theater projector. Although on more expensive projectors two years of warranty are probably the most common and some (including BenQ and Sanyo) offer 3 year warranties, one year seems to be the standard for entry level projectors in the $1000 price range.

There are exceptions, however, for example, the Optoma H27 which I've previously mentioned does come with a 2 year warranty. The new InFocus Play Big IN72, which started shipping a couple of months ago, and is our next projector for review, also has a one year warranty.

BenQ also offers a free replacement if there is a problem with your projector in the first 30 days, which is always a nice touch. Most manufacturers do that though their dealers but it sounds like BenQ will handle that directly. (We'll see, when it starts shipping).
