BenQ W1070 Projector - Warranty

BenQ comes standard with a 1 year parts and labor warranty. That is typical for the price, in fact with the exception of Epson projectors, there are very few projectors under 1500 with more than a one year warranty.
I wish everyone would offer at least two years. That said, it's hard to really complain when the BenQ W1070 comes with the same warranty as just about everyone else.
I also happen to be a fan of BenQ's overall support. I've found them to be one of the few manufacturers that really will go the extra mile. A couple of times in the past decade, they've had some issues - once with early failure on lamps. They took care of their customers, upgrading everyone and replacing the lamps. I'm not saying that first level phone support is necessarily wonderful - that's really rare, but they do get the job done.
I believe the lamp warranty is 6 month or 500 hours. 6 months is longer than some, but there are also some lamps warrantied for up to 1000 hours. Still, with a long life lamp, you should get years!
