It's a Joe Kane beamer like the old SP-H710, but this is a Full HD DLP with a vertical lensshift, and the price is much lower now that when it came out last September. I'll be very currious to see, how it will do in your review. Also the Mitsubishi DH7000 is out there and it has a 70.000:1 contrastratio. As to the Mitsubishi, that is definitely on the list, athough not until after CEDIA, as I'm slammed right now, just finishing the Mitsubishi HC5500, and I already have here for review: Mitsubishi HC1600, Epson Ensemble, InFocus X10, and BenQ W20000. I'll be lucky if I can get all of those done before CEDIA (starts September 3rd.) It's been a while since I reviewed a Samsung (that one was also a Joe Kane tuned model). That one was excellent in terms of color, but, it's black level performance was mediocre. The new Samsung seems to have solved that problem, so I'm very interested in seeing what it can do. -art Hello there Art.
