Hi Art,

I extremely value your reviews and I have purcahesd 3 projectors till date following your reviews. The H27, IN72 and the HD65. And they never failed me. I have sold my HD65 recently and currently looing for a new PJ. I saw you have the X9 for review soon. I will be very glad if you can let me know or in the review mention how the X9 compares to the HD65 and the X10.

Thanks

Yes the review will touch on that. The X9 is calibrated and ready to be reviewed, but I'm moving it back in line one spot, so I can do the Panasonic PT-AE3000U review first - the Panasonic is arriving today, I'm told. the X9 will be next, which means about 2 weeks until it's ready to publish. -art

Hi Art-
I was all set to buy the Epson 1080UB a couple of weeks ago before I read about all the new projectors coming out. I have a few questions as a projector newbie. First- in your opinion, would you wait till you see actual reviews of the new models from Epson/Sanyo/Panasonic or spring for the 1080UB now, factoring in street price? Second- in your experience, will the price of the 1080UB drop significantly at dealers once the new models are out, and related to that, what is your experience with final price factoring in the current Epson rebate vs likely promos for the new models in the first month of release? In other words, should the current Epson rebate be a major factor in my decision so that I should pick up the 1080UB before the rebate runs out? Finally- how much of an improvement do you think the 120 hz motion enhancement features of the new models will make if I am someone who likes that 3D window effect, which I realize not everyone likes? Should I wait for the 120 hz models? Thanks so much. I am going a bit crazy trying to decide if I should wait or just get the 1080UB now.

*********

I'll better be able to answer your question about 120 hz projectors after I actually lay my hands on one. Fortunately, UPS tracking shows that the Panasonic PT-AE3000U review projector is arriving today. I should post, probably this weekend, or next Monday. By that time, I may be able to comment intelligently. I know I'll be watching football on it all weekend! (Not to mention watching tonight's Monday Night Football on it as well (although that will be pre-calibration) -art

Art:

Have you received the updated W5000 yet ??? If not, when is it due ??? Will your comments on the update be posted here in your blog, or will they be added to your original W5000 review, dated 2-28-08 ???

I returned a W5000 to the BenQ store in February, due to the projector's image noise.

Thanks in advance.
