Will you be comparing the Epson 6100 to the Sanyo 3000? I know many people are interested in comparing these two projectors.

Thanks

-Derek

Hi Derek,
Yes, as I do the competitive section I will cover the 6100 vs. the Z3000, as well as the Panasonic, and, of course, the logical step up, the 6500UB. I'm back from CES now, and should have the competitive section posted no later than Thursday evening, along with additional thoughts. -art

Art,
Thanks for the work, got one of these for Christmas, and enjoy it tremendously! Wanted to share that even with my Panasonic DMP-BD55 which produces a beautiful picture, I get the "jerkiness" with the frame interpolation and am looking forward to turning it off to see the difference this weekend.
As for the “live video feel” yeah, incredible, like you are there, but the family thought that while watching our favorite non blu ray LOTR, seeing Gollum in almost “real live” was kinda creepy! ;-)
Thanks and keep up the great work,
Jim

Let me know your thoughts of FI on vs. off. As to your Gollum comment, I forwarded your whole comment on to Epson and the engineers I met with.
And, I fully intend to watch LOTR with FI on this weekend to acertain exactly "how creepy". Good thought. None of the segments I use in my photoshoot have Gollum in them, so I really haven't seen him when working with the 6500UB. Everyone laughed, though, with the "creepy" comment. -art

Great review of the Epson 6500UB but even though the Sony hw10 is listed as a competitor in the header of the section, no comparison was made. What happened? What is your opinion of these two?
Thank you and a very happy new year!
