OK, finally, I received the 2nd, of the first three $999 1080p home theater projectors. I’ve already reviewed the HD20, and managed to hang on to it for the first 24 hours I had the H1080FD (after mike calibrated). OK the Vivitek H1080FD home theater projector finally arrived. Mike’s got it and will bring it back tomorrow all nicely measured and calibrated. Look for a blog on Thursday, with first impressions. I’m going to try to have the entire review done by early next week.
The H1080FD is the second of the three new $999 projectors we’re reviewing, and we expect the BenQ W1000 to arrive early next week (fingers (crossed).
Other news – the Optoma HD8600 review will go live later today. Check out the review. Pretty nice. -art

OK, it’s been really busy. But, I’ve got a most impressive projector to tell you about, and that’s the Optoma HD8600. First I want to say that at this point, I’m completely overwhelmed between responding to emails and blog comments. I’m falling further behind, with no end in sight. You guys are burying me in well over 100 combined, every week these days. At least through Christmas, I doubt I’ll be able to respond to more than half, if that.
