Art, it is now the 27th, I pulled the trigger with my home theater guys to purchase the 8602 yesterday and can still cancel before MONDAY. Therefore your review will make the difference between my purchasing a great or flawed projector. I am dying for that review to be published. And even if it might not appear in time, can you at least offer a quick thumbs up or down. Here is an issue, be aware of that. For instance, what about the lumens and what you found and what Infocus promised. Are regular models 15% brighter than you found with your first unit? Just answering that question is a biggie. Help me out here before I commit to a projector that perhaps I should reconsider.

Hi Art.
Well I made the plunge and bought the BenQ W6000. I couldn't justify spending double for the Infocus while thinking that the whole industry might make major adjustments with LED bulbs and 3D capability. The W6000 ran all of 8 hours and then cratered. They couriered a replacement out 2 days later and so far so good. The only thing I have noticed is way too many things to adjust/tweak and a lot of digital noise on 480i and even 720P satellite TV. Not sure how to get rid of it. 1080P blue ray is excellent and the audible noise is way less than me old Infocus 7205.

Hi Art:
Any updates on the InFocus? I've been projectorless for about 5 months now and patiently waiting for the SP8602. After numerous delays, we don't seem to be getting any closer. There was an initial small shipment of the units and nothing since. There are some deals on the BenQ W6000 and Epson 8500 and they are available for immediate delivery. Can you comment on which projector of the three you prefer based on what you've seen to date?
