Greetings all,

OK, I’m finished with the Optoma HD8600 projector.  They improved the firmware, affecting the Cinema 1 iris setting – it’s very smooth, but doesn’t lower the blacks as much as the troublesome Cinema 2 setting.  Not perfect, but better!  The full update has been added to the review, and is found on the HD8600 Update page.  Enjoy. -art
