Hey Joe,

CEDIA is now less than a month off. I think those considering 3D should certainly wait a few weeks to see what the new options are. This month before CEDIA, is a good time to pick up some good deals on closeouts for some models as the manufacturer get rid of any extra inventory before new models, but other than a great deal going by, I'd certainly want to know what my options are, since likely 2/3 of all the home theater projectors out there under $10K, will have replacement models announced in Sept, and half of them shipping by late Oct. -art

When to buy, when to buy... Exciting stuff happening in the 3d camp these days. I get the feeling a budget of roughly 3000 dollars will go waay further in 6 months/1 year than jumping the generation 1.5 3d projectors train and getting off at the 100+ dollar active shutter glasses station...

Looks like buying the new Sony now is throwing money out the window, as new models are emerging with way better brightness, contrast and framerate specs. It's always a waiting game, but honestly Art; Would you buy now, or wait for the fall (price-drop)?
