Greetings, just a quick note, the Acer H6500 review is live. Lori’s still proofing, etc. It’s a nice little projector for the average consumer. Too many idiosyncrasies, I think, for the enthusiast. Still it does put out a maximum 2100 lumens, but more importantly it has a color mode with over 1700 lumens that looks real good. Not a full set of color controls. Well, check out the review.

Greetings from Las Vegas, at the Infocomm 2012 show.
For those of you not familiar, Infocomm is the big US show for displays. There are plenty of projectors, but the show is dominated by LCDs Plasmas, LEDs, lots of digital signage.
Infocomm is not a home theater projector show. While most home theater projectors tend to get announced at CEDIA in September (the show for home theater projectors), the good news for you home theater fans, is that there are always a few new projectors for the home, launched here. Sony VPL-VW1000ES - a True 4K Projector for Home Theater
The title says it all!
After almost 6 weeks with the Sony VPL-VW1000ES, first, I have say, no question: The VPL-VW1000ES is definitely, by my taste, the best Home Theater – or perhaps I should say, Home Cinema projector I have had the opportunity to review. The Best In Classroom awards are up! If you haven’t read about them in-depth yet, here’s a taste:
The Classroom Projector Report divides the 16 projectors considered into two classes, “Interactive” and “Standard” (non-interactive).
