Casio XJ-A140 Projector Overview

The Casio XJ-Al40 has a native resolution 1024x768 pixels. The XJ-A140 is somewhat revolutionary because of its unique and patented way of projecting light. It uses a hybrid light source that combines Laser and LED to produce what appears to be a very desirable image. Casio has really designed quite a projector. For the traveling presenter you will enjoy its compact size. This unit measures in with a foot print no larger than a piece of paper. One can also achieve a fairly nice size image from a very close distance.

It seemed to me just from setting it up that Casio thought of just about everything when they designed this projector. The XJ-A140 has a lower contrast ratio than I would have expected from a DLP, but one has to keep in mind the light emitting technology is not the norm. However, the average user will get up to 20,000 hours of usage out of this projector before having to replace the light engine. By that time, most of us will have gone through either multiple projectors or lamps with any other projector.

Brightness is moderate at 2500 lumens. Not too bad for a projector of this size. Comparable units in the price range of the XJ-A140 produce about 700 more lumens, but very few if any are as compact. Consider, that about 10 years ago projectors would produce no more than about 300 lumens and still be quite useable. So expect the lumen output of this model to be very satisfactory in a multitude of light conditions.

The XJ-A140 is also very eco friendly. Especially if you setup the projector in ECO mode. Something most might want to do as I will get into when I talk about the projectors performance. I encourage you to read on about this projector. It is designed for the Road Warrior and as you can see from its size. The brightness is brightness and MSRP of $849, it might be just the ideal projector for your sales team.
