Dell M209X Projector Review - Warranty

Posted on March 27, 2008 by Art Feierman

Dell offers an excellent warranty. Better than almost all of the competition. Not only does the M209X come with a two year parts and labor warranty, but they offer an overnight replacement program for both years. That's basically the same as Epson's warranty, and some Mitsubishis, but few others offer a replacement program.

In addition Dell offers an optional third year warranty (with replacement too), and if that isn't enough choice, Dell may be the only company, with an optional accident warranty. Drop it, drown it? It should be covered if you buy their Complete Care option.

Any way you slice it, Dell starts off with a far better than average warranty, and let's you buy even more coverage. Pretty impressive. I should note that while many portables have basic one or two year warranties, there are some out there with three years, notably Sanyo, and some Mitsubishis. But, again, if you want more warranty than Dell provides standard, they are happy to sell it to you.
