Warranty is 90 days parts and labor for the IN1. This is not a surprising warranty for a projector at this price point. While most other projectors (under $1000) have a 1 year warranty, and at least one, offers a 2 year warranty, those models are all pretty close to twice the price. Many consumer electronic devices (including digital cameras) in this price range, come with 90 day warranties.

I imagine a 3rd party warranty for the IN1, if available, is probably $30-$50 for a year, and should be seriously considered. If this projector, like most, should develop a significant problem, once out of warranty, its unlikely it would be worth fixing. Some of you buying the IN1, may have credit cards that extend the warranty. That would be another viable option.

InFocus also offers a 90 day warranty on the lamp, which is the industry standard for lamp coverage.
