JVC DLA-RS45 Projector Calibration and Settings
Once again, we adjust the general controls and perform a grayscale calibration. As is normal, we do not do a full individual color CMS calibration. (note, this JVC DLA-RS45, unlike most projectors, lacks a CMS). We leave that for your calibrator. If you aren't into calibrating your DLA-RS45 - either yourself (hobbyist), or hiring, then we strongly recommend you try plugging in our settings, and seeing if you like them better than the defaults.

Essentially the User modes, and most of the others, are the same, but for some variation in which color temp is used.

JVC DLA-RS45 Basic Settings
In addition to calibrating Red, Green and Blue for a correct grayscale balance (6500K), there are a number of other settings that come into play. Typically Contrast and Brightness (white balance and black balance), need to be done first. Color saturation and gamma also need adjustment.

Note that none of the modes use the High Bright color Temp as their default temp. In reality, standardize the Color Temp and Gamma, and the modes are essentially the same.

Below the CIE chart (looks very good), one of three CIE settings offered by JVC in lieu of offering a full Color Management System. The Wide 1 CIE chart does not look or work near as well.
