JVC DLA-RS45 Projector - Warranty

The JVC DLA-RS45 provides a two year parts and labor warranty.
Three years is what we like to see for projectors in this price range, but they are few and far between. Of the projectors we consider in the $3000 - $5000 range, 2 years is the most common, but there a few with three years, and some with replacement warranties.
JVC has always seemed to provide very good build quality, and so far, JVC models have had a very good reputation for reliability. In the 4+ years I've owned JVC's, My own original RS1 and current RS20, have performed very reliably as well. Between my two JVC projectors, figure about 5500 total hours of lamp time, and no warranty issues at all.
My own experience, I should note, with JVC support has been a good one. I've only called a couple of times and not with any problems. Just looking to understand some things better. They were helpful, although for my trickier questions, I tend to find my technical contact.
All considered, JVC is providing a better than average warranty, and a reasonable one.
