Mitsubishi HC6500

The Mitsubishi Diamond home theater projector, aka HC6500, looks to have significant improvements over the HC-6000 it replaces, and that alone, should make it on many people's short list. It boasts an all new ultra-high speed iris (Diamond shaped), for improved contrast (15,000:1) and black level performance. Brightness is rated 20% higher than it's predecessor, which will allow it to tackle more ambient light or a slightly larger screen. The Mitsubishi HC6500 Diamond is virtually silent, no easy feat. New Silicon Optix Reon-VX image processing (typically found in more expensive projectors), guarantees excellent color handling.
