The CP-AW2519N is Hitachi’s newest ultra-short interactive projector.  We haven’t seen this one yet, but you may find it comforting to know that recently, we published our 2012 Education report.  In that report, the older Hitachi iPJ-AW250N was awarded our Best In Classroom – Runner-up award for interactive projectors.


Based on this, we figure this CP-AW2519N interactive projector should be an extremely interesting projector, worth considering.

Hitachi Introduces CP-AW2519N Ultra Short Throw Interactive Projector

The CP-AW2519N Features Hitachi’s Proprietary StarBoard Software and a Throw Distance of 10 Inches From the Edge of the Projector For An 80-Inch (16:10) Diagonal Image

LAS VEGAS, Nevada, June 13, 2012 — At InfoComm 2012, Hitachi America, Ltd., Digital Media Division, Business Solutions Group today introduced the CP-AW2519N Interactive Projector, featuring Hitachi’s proprietary StarBoard Software, which works on Mac and PC platforms. The CP-AW2519N Interactive Projector has all the functionality of an interactive whiteboard built into it, eliminating the need for additional hardware.

The new CP-AW2519N offers easy setup even in rooms where space is limited, with an ultra-short-throw lens that enables it to be mounted close to a wall or projection surface. This prevents obstructed images and shadows, with no light shining in the presenter’s eyes. The CP-AW2519N also comes with a stand to project the image onto a tabletop surface.
