New Epson VS200 Projector Delivers Ultra Bright Images for Under $450
Affordable VS200 Offers 2,300 Lumens for Small and Medium Sized Businesses
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Oct. 6, 2010 – Epson America, the number-one selling projector brand worldwide1, today announced the newest high-brightness, low-cost projector in the VS-series. The VS200 provides SVGA resolution and 2,300 lumens of color and white light output2 for bright presentations and vibrant color in any business setting, at a price point of $429*.
“The Epson VS200 is designed to deliver proven performance at an incredible value,” said Jason Meyer, product manager, Epson America. “By combining 2,300 lumens of light output with exceptional productivity features and a portable design, the VS200 makes it easy to deliver a brilliant presentation without impacting your budget.”
The Epson VS200 offers easy-to-use features, including USB Plug ‘n Play instant setup for Windows and Mac that instantly displays images on both the projector and computer by simply connecting a USB cable. And leveraging the latest 3LCD, 3-chip technology, the Epson VS200 delivers amazing, true-to-life color and detail for powerful presentations. 3LCD technology provides an energy efficient light engine which creates stunning images, and in contrast to 1-chip DLP technology, 3LCD requires, on average, 25 percent less electricity per lumen of brightness3.
The Epson VS200 offers quick and convenient control features, including Instant On/Off® which enables presenters to avoid delays by instantly powering on and off the projector with no cool down time, and Direct Power On and Off allows an installed projector to be powered with a wall switch. In addition, the convenient A/V Mute Slide instantly turns off the sound and images to create a quick pause in the presentation, conserving lamp life and energy, and helping to save costs. The projector also features Epson’s exclusive E-TORL lamp technology which enables the lamp life to last up to 5,000 hours4 in economy mode.
Availability and Support
The Epson VS200 will be available in October 2010 and comes with a one-year limited warranty that includes two elite technical support services – Epson PrivateLine® phone support where projector owners can directly access an expedited support telephone line by using a phone card that is included with the product, and a Road Service projector replacement program that includes projector exchange in two business days.
