Greetings, Looking forward to Optoma’s new high end line of projectors – which they have named ProScene – a nice play on Pro Cine(ma).Perhaps the most interesting aspect about the Optoma ProScene projectors is that they have developed this lineup to work in almost all major install segments, from classrooms, to home theater – or rather home media and family room type installations, as well as corporate use and houses of worship.We’re looking forward to bringing in one of the ProScene projectors as soon as possible for evaluation and a full review. With the depth of this lineup, however, I would expect we’ll tackle at least two of the nine new models, to cover a wide range of potential applications.

ProScene, a new
line encompassing the company’s high-output, high-resolution projectors incorporating the latest technology and engineering advancements to deliver outstanding brightness and unsurpassed image quality.
The ProScene line will comprise all Optoma’s current and recently announced projectors designed for use in large conference rooms, theaters, houses of worship, museums and galleries, and other venues and applications, such as digital signage, where superior brightness image quality, and reliability are paramount. This includes all models with brightness levels ranging from 4,000 to 7,000 ANSI Lumens: The EH7700, TH7500-NL, TW865-NL, TW865-NLW, EH505, W505, EH501, W501, and X501. Also falling under the ProScene designation line will be the company’s HQView line of imaging processors used in blending and creating other effects. More ProScene introductions are expected in 2014.
“ProScene represents the very best of Optoma’s engineering and technology,” said Jon Grodem, Optoma’s senior director of product and marketing. “But it’s more. The formation of the entire ProScene program enables us to sharpen our focus on creating stronger manufacturer-dealer relationships. We now have a complete tool kit to meet the challenges our dealer partners face with all their high end installations.”
In addition to delivering superior performance, ProScene projectors will also be supported by the company’s most comprehensive customer support program. Dedicated ProScene sales managers and field application engineers have been trained to work with dealers and integrators to help advise which projector fits a customer’s needs best, as well as provide customized assistance to help close sales and prepare contract bids. The ProScene line will also be supported 24/7 byspecially trained customer service agents, and discounts on evaluation and demonstration units will be available, as will other exclusive incentives and sales promotions.
According to Grodem, none of this matters if the products don’t measure up in performance and reliability. “Optoma has always placed a premium on reliability. That’s why we support all our ProScene products with our Express Replacement Warranty to minimize downtime if there are any issues.”
