Acer H9500BD Home Theater Projector Updated Lag Test Results
Greetings,
I swapped out both HDMI cables with new cables and of the same length (10′). They were the same length in the previous test as well. I think I may have had a bad HDMI cable in the previous test. All of the special features were turned off in my initial test, that is for sure. It is the first thing I checked when I powered on the projector. It looks like with all features off it is hovering around a 30ms lag. Here are the results:
All features off:
With AcuMotion (CFI) on high:
With AcuMotion (CFI) set on low:

Wow, that’s a big difference. So should we disregard your first round of rest results?
Also, have you gone back and confirmed that tou don’t feel the lag while playing an actual game online?
Thanks!
Yes. I am deleting the first thread and updating the review as I we speak. The cable must have been bad. I just moved and have about twenty different HDMI cables, I just grabbed what was convenient, just my luck I get a dysfunctional cable. I don’t feel the lag when I am gaming online like I did with the first round of testing, which is a good thing. Definitely leave the AcuMotion feature off, that creates MAJOR lag.
Is there anyway to do the same test in 3D mode?
I no longer have this projector, but turning on any of the features will increase lag time. That’s pretty much a guarantee.
