Comic-Con Pictures (Celebrities)
This year there were a HUGE amount of celebrities in attendance. Due to the large crowds, I was unable to attend all the panels I wanted to. One thing I did notice is that most of the panels, especially Hall H a beast of a projector…actually 3 of them. It was shocking how good they looked too, I wish I could have actually gotten close enough to see which models they were using. Once the lights went off, then picture quality was amazing. The projectors threw a better image than most of the movie theaters I have been to. Anyhow, back to the topic at hand…celebrities! I got all the pictures I could, and hopefully you enjoy what I did manage to get! Here they are:

Guy Pearce was there promoting Don't Be Afraid of the Dark with Guillermo Del Toro. It was the second best panel we attended, Del Toro is hilarious.

Max Brooks the author (son of Mel Brooks): When we met him he saw that my wife's badge was signed by Joe Hill, and he said "Joe Hill...that's just some famous guy's son."...LOL.

We caught the tail end of the Twilight panel by mistake. The quality of the picture shows you how much I actually care about Twilight...ha ha.

The cast of Being Human on SyFy (Sam Huntingtion, Sam Witwer, and Meaghan Rath): We actually went to see their panel, and there were about 2,500 people in line. We decided to skip the panel and go have lunch at the SyFy Network's Cafe Diem restaurant, and guess who we met there? They were awesome, very nice to everyone who approached them. The waitress gave us one of the Cafe Diem menus and they all signed it.

Rowdy Roddy Piper: I would have to say he was the most charismatic, and nicest celebrity we met at Comic-Con. He seems like a very genuine guy, and very down to Earth. He shook EVERY fan's hand and told them thank you for supporting his career.

Kevin Smith and the Kevin and Bean morning show from KROQ Los Angeles at the Omni Hotel. Kevin Smith and Ralph Garman in a "Manbrace".

Cast of Immortals (Freida Pinto, Stephen Dorff, Luke Evans, Kellan Lutz, and Henry Cavill a.k.a. the new Superman)

Francis Ford Coppola and Val Kilmer promoting Twixt: Quite possibly the most fun any panel has EVER been. When I thought Coppola, I figured he would be prim and proper...he was not at all. He was very funny, goofy, and put on a great show. He and Val Kilmer were singing, laughing, and having a great time. I am glad he was the exact opposite of what I thought he would be.
Let me start by saying this is probably one of the worst celebrity encounters I have ever witnessed. He started off by calling the audience nerds and not in a loving way, it went way downhill from there. Thomas Jane was eating, texting, and interrupting throughout the entire panel. At one point he took his shoes off and kicked up his bare feet. He would tap on the mic, and interrupt the other panel members while they were speaking by doing so. He actually asked the audience “Are you really interested in listening to this crap?”. During the Q&A portion of the panel he was texting a woman sitting next to my daughter in the audience. He was making fun of all of the people asking questions via text. We were excited to meet him prior to going into the panel, but couldn’t get out of the room soon enough as soon as it ended. A lot of the other attendees felt the same way.

You got a lot of really great pictures at this event. It must have been very exciting to see and meet all of the celebrities and gotten autographs.
