Sanyo PLV80 Projector - Warranty

Posted on May 9, 2006 by Art Feierman

Sanyo provides a 3 year parts and labor warranty on their PLV-80. In addition, Sanyo pays freight in both directions, and further, they indicate that it will not take more than 3 days at their facility for repair. They say that most often, units only take one day at their facility, but I have no way of substantiating that.

Sanyo relies on their fast turnaround warranty program, and does not offer a loaner or replacement. Sanyo also does not have a DOA policy for dealers. If a new unit fails, they repair it, even if it is defective out of the box. I suggest that if you want assurances that an initially defective unit is replaced with a new one, not repaired in a couple/three days, then you should check with your dealer before purchasing, to find out how they handle Sanyo service issues.
