The Epson Powerlite 97H is the entry-level model of Epson's Powerlite series of classroom projectors.  This model has a native 1024 x 768 (XGA) resolution with a 4 x 3 aspect ratio.  While this may seem "old school" since many current classroom projectors offer higher resolution along with a 16 x 10 aspect ratio, many classroom currently are equipped with XGA projectors along with a 4 x 3 aspect ratio screen and the 97H provides a very cost effective alternative when such an existing projector needs replacement. The Powerlite 97H projects a sharp image that is bright, while providing good colors and offering a lot of performance for its modest price.  The Powerlite 97H received out "Hot Product" award for its combination of very good performance, a good feature set, and a very attractive price.  the Powerlite 97H is a great choice for replacing an existing XGA projector.  My only qualification would be for new installations where moving up to a higher resolution WXGA (1280 x 800) projector may be a better choice, especially if your budget for the new projector allows perhaps a couple hundred dollars extra. Epson offers other models in the Powerlite series that feature higher resolution, such as the model Powerlite 99WH, with WXGA resolution (1280 x 800).  We reviewed the last generation, and very similar, Powerlite 99W (HERE) in March 2014.
The Epson Powerlite 1985WU is one of a new breed of affordable high brightness projectors suitable for medium and larger venues.  100" screens even in bright rooms handled well.

Our review of the Panasonic PT-RZ670BU projector confirms it is a large, heavy and bright commercial business projector that uses a laser light engine.

This isn't your typical business projector, rather it is a highly flexible projector suitable for use at trade shows, large venue presentations, staging, commercial rental applications and most applications that require 24/7 continuous operation such as retail signage, command and control, etc .  This series offers the choice of 7 different lenses including zoom and with fixed focal length models and covering the range from ultra-short throw up to long throw models.  Versions of this projector are offered that do not include a lens, but the model PT-RZ670BU projector we reviewed came with a powered zoom lens with a 1.7 to 2.4:1 zoom ratio.

The PT-RZ670BU gets our Hot Product Award by offering a lot of performance and being suitable for continuous 24/7/365 operation in commercial applications.

The PF85U Projector has a long life LED light source, but what stands out most are the smarts of this large 1000 lumen "pocket" projector. We consider the PF85U for  home entertainment use, but it doubles nicely as a portable business projector.  EPSON BRIGHTLINK 585WI Projector Intro:  The Epson Brightlink 585Wi is an ultra short throw, interactive projector, sporting 3300 lumens.  It targets the education projector market, suitable for both K-12 and higher education applications.  Features include WXGA resolution, Wired and Wireless networking, including advanced features, Dual Pen use, and classroom filling sound.  The Brightlink 585Wi is the middle of three new interactive projectors.  The Brightlink 575Wi projector is similar, but with 2700 lumens, while the flagship Brightlink 595Wi has more advanced interactivity, including pen free, touch interactivity - use your fingers.  Epson's pens work as well on that 595Wi.  There's also a non interactive version, the $1499 Brightlink 585W (no "i"), for those not interested in full interactivity. This Brightlink series of projectors from Epson may primarily focus on schools, (including large educational discounts), but is also widely sold for business use as well.  It brings ultra short throw and interactivity to conference rooms, training rooms, and at trade shows.   The Brightlink Pro 1410Wi projector has even more features, and targets the executive boardroom but costs significantly more. The Epson Powerlite 99w may well be Epson's definitive all around workhorse business and education portable/fixed install projector, on both performance and value. The Powerlite 99W projects a very sharp image that is very bright and providing good colors. When operating in it brightest modes the unit supplied for this review exceeded the manufacturer's rated 3,000 lumens.  Larger  and far brighter than any pocket projector it should still be considered a portable projector that could easily be moved between classrooms or conference rooms.BENQ W1070:  Wow!  3D capable, 1080p, exceptional brightness and the promise of really good color!  Sounds like an expensive projector.  Not true, sub-$1000! Allow me to introduce you to BenQ's W1070, when first shipping it was the first $999 1080p projector with 3D.

This Runco Lightstyle LS-10 projector is the second Runco projector we've reviewed to date. We received the LS-10d projector - which is essentially the same as the standard LS-10i, but comes with the impressive DHD4 outboard Processor for an equally impressive $26,995. The DHD4 is also sold with their high end projectors.

This LS10 is a 3 chip DLP home theater projector, with 1080p resolution. Reviewing the LS-10 should be most helpful in providing insight and perspective to people shopping a price range or two lower. Reviewing the LS-10d certainly helps me with the big picture. In reviewing the Runco LS-10d, we've now left the world of projectors for the masses, and entered (the low end) of projectors primarily for the wealthy, the obsessed, and those somewhere in between (actually probably the wealthy obsessed). UPDATE: The Runco LS10d earned the prestigious Outstanding Product of the Year 2011 Award! Check out the praise for this phenomenal projector! Before or after reading this review commentary, you can click on this link- or at the bottom - for the full multi-page review of the Sony HS51A projector
