The Mitsubishi HC9000D comes with a two year parts and labor warranty. In addition, there is a 1 year, or 500 hour warranty on the lamp.
There are a few competitors (based on price) with 3 year warranties, and even a couple with just one year.
Over all however, two year warranties are the most common in home theater projectors priced between $5000 and $12,500. The Mitsubishi HC9000D, with a list price of $9995, but a MAP price of $6995 is sitting to the lower end of that range from a street price standpoint.
Mitsubishi's warranty is a rather standard limited warranty. They do not offer any replacement program, loaner program, or guaranteed rapid turn around. All of which is fine. Only a few companies offer any of those things, and none of the most direct competition in 2D / 3D 1080p projectors including JVC, Sony and Sharp projectors we've reviewed. None of those has any such backend programs, or warranty longer than 2 years.
In other words, in its class, the Mitsubishi HC9000D has a typical warranty!
