Samsung SP-F10M LCD Projector Overview

The Samsung SP-F10M projector is a 3-LCD multimedia projector that provides an advertised 1000 lumens from an LED light source.  The advantage to an LED light source is that its life is ten times that of a traditional lamp, making it unnecessary to ever replace the light source during the projector’s likely lifespan.  The downside to this approach, at least in the case of the SP-F10M, is that is does not begin to match the lumen output of most of the competition in this price range. However, if high brightness is not necessary, the SP-F10M should provide years of maintenance-free use at an attractive price. The Samsung SP-F10M features automatic vertical keystone correction, which allows for faster setup without the projector being perfectly level.  One very nice feature is the ability to view presentations on USB storage devices via the SP-F10M’s USB port and Document Viewer application, as well as display of photos and playback of music and video. Additionally, the SP-F10M features PC browser-based monitoring, management and control via a connected network.  The SP-F10M also sports a feature we’re always happy to see these days on multimedia projectors, the inclusion of an HDMI input. While the SP-F10M is not as light as some of the competition (just under 10 lbs.), it is still extremely portable due to its compact size.  It does not come with a travel bag to facilitate transport, but it could easily fit into a briefcase or travel bag.
