New Acer DLP Professional Projectors Bring High-Impact HD and 3D Visuals to the Boardroom

  SAN JOSE, Calif., Mar. 6, 2014 – Acer today announced the availability of two new P-Series DLP® projectors for professional customers in the U.S.  Designed for commercial use, the Acer® P7505 and Acer P1383W DLP projectors boast high brightness, wide screen projection and 3D support for making high-impact presentations to small and large audiences in business, education and government. The new projectors offer a host of practical features for professional environments. The Acer P7505 delivers outstanding image quality with 1080p resolution and 5000 lumens brightness combined with stereophonic sound for customers wanting to make high-impact presentations in a boardroom or auditorium. The Acer P1383W has WXGA resolution, a 3100 lumens brightness and solid mainstream performance for conducting meetings in conference rooms or lectures in classrooms. “Our newest projector options for professional environments are designed to deliver high quality visuals in an easy to use and robust platform,” said Edward Chan, Acer America product manager.  “The feature-rich Acer P7505 is capable of projecting hard hitting presentations in Full HD and the image and sound quality necessary for immersing a ballroom or theater. Both projectors support widescreen projection and 3D and provide instant pack functionality.”  Acer P7505: 5,000 Lumens Projection, 1080p Visuals and 6W Stereophonic Sound The feature-rich Acer P7505 offers outstanding image quality for impressing even the most discerning viewers.  A high 5000 ANSI lumens brightness (4,000 in ECO mode), 1080p resolution and a 10,000:1 contrast ratio provide crystal clear visuals for showcasing full HD content, while two internal speakers with 6W (2x3W) output deliver dynamic, high-fidelity sound. A lens shift enables users to adjust the lens to shift the image vertically and horizontally in its original size and format without any distortion. The inclusion of three HDMI and dual D-Sub ports offer connectivity to multiple sources simultaneously. It delivers up to a large 300-inch image from up to 32 feet and real-time 2D- to 3D-conversion technology for the enjoyment of videos, pictures and games in virtual 3D with no extra software required. Users just turn 3D on from the on-screen menu and connect a 3D source to one of the projector’s HDMI ports. The Acer P7505 offers up to 1,500 hours lamp life in standard operation, 3,500 in ECO mode and up to 4,500 hours in extreme dimming.(1)  It measures 15.7- x 12.2- x 5.1-inches and can be ceiling mounted.  It comes with an IR remote control with a laser pointer and mouse, carrying case, dust filter, lens cap and VGA cable. Acer P1383W: 3,100 Lumens Projection, WXGA Resolution and Long Lamp Life The Acer P1383W delivers beautiful visuals and a practical feature set for conference room and class settings.  Its high brightness of 3,100 lumens (2,480 in ECO mode), native WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution and 17,000:1 contrast ratio provide clear and sharp images. It delivers up to a large 300-inch image from up to 32 feet and supports 3D functionality for enjoying 3D videos and movies. To enable 3D, users simply press a button to toggle among the various 3D functions. Wall color compensation enables the P1383W to display colors accurately even when the image is projected on a colored wall.  It comes with a 2W internal speaker and an array of input options including analog RGB/Component video (D-Sub) x 2, Composite video (RCA) x1, s-video (Mini DIN) x 1, HDMI/MHL x 1 and PC audio x 2. This practical projector offers up to 10,000 hours of lamp life in ExtremeEco mode, 5,000 hours in standard mode and 6,000 hours in ECO mode.(1) The long life span saves on lamp replacement costs and provides long-term dependable use. Measuring a compact 12.4- x 8.8- x 3.7-inches and weighing just 5.5 pounds, it can be easily carried from room to room. It can also be ceiling-mounted and comes with a detachable remote control that conveniently docks to the top of the projector as well as a lens cap and carrying case. Both Projectors – Brilliant Images, Optional Wireless Projection The new projectors provide a 40-degree keystone correction for automatically correcting vertical distortions. They also offer wide screen projection for the comfortable viewing of wide screen movies and enabling less scrolling through spreadsheets, web pages and other documents.  In addition, multiple IO interfaces are compatible with a wide range of industrial design standards. Acer ColorBoost II technology presents ultra-vivid images in brilliant color for business presentations, lectures and lessons. Acer Best Color Tracking technology delivers vivid details, smooth gradation and brighter natural colors. ColorSafe II technology prevents color decay, while DLP technology ensures picture integrity despite prolonged use. Wireless projection is enabled via an optional Acer wireless adapter and can be set up in just a few easy steps. Instant Pack allows the projectors to be turned off and packed immediately without a cooling period. They also come with a 100-240V auto-switching power supply.
