The Leica Cine 1 is an ultra-premium 4K Tri Laser ultra-short throw projector, boasting 3000 lumens and marketed as a "Cinema TV" rather than the more common "Laser TV." In the U.S., Leica offers two versions optimized for either a 100" screen, priced at $8,995, or a 120" screen, priced at $9,495. There's also a third model available in Europe designed for an 80" screen. With its two latest EpiqVision projectors, Epson has adopted a novel strategy. Both the newest LS800 and its slightly older Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) smaller brother, the LS300, have a sleek, contemporary appearance that makes them suitable for a variety of visually diverse living environments. Compared to earlier ultra-short-throw models that utilized the same chassis as Epson's professional ultra-short-throw projectors, the new EpiqVision Ultra chassis has a more aesthetically pleasing design.
The new design allows these cutting-edge EpiqVision Ultra LS800 projectors to sit significantly closer to the screen than previous Epson ultra-short-throw projectors. In my testing, I placed the LS800 less than seven inches from my 120-inch screen.
The LS800 is one of the best examples of Epson leveraging different in-house hardware and software to create a great viewing experience. Epson calls this 4K PRO-UHD.
At $2,799 MSRP, the Epson EpiqVision Ultra LS650 is a 4K UST (ultra-short throw) laser projector with a brightness rating of 3,600 ANSI lumens and a dynamic contrast ratio of 2,500,000:1. The sound system of the Android TV-enabled smart projector, LS650, was created in collaboration with Yamaha's audio experts.
Since 2010, Epson has been a pioneer in the projection market, producing some of the most cutting-edge ultra-short throw projection technologies. Epson increased the level of competition last year when it unveiled the acclaimed EpiqVision Ultra LS800, an ultra-short throw device. According to the CEA (Consumer Electronics Association), a 4K image comprises 8.3 million displayed pixels; however, Epson's 4K PRO-UHD technology results in 4.1 million pixels being displayed. From a pixel density point of view, Epson's 4K PRO-UHD is not an actual 4K (8.3 million pixels) image.

Hisense classifies the L9H as a Laser TV, which means it comes packaged with a matched screen to provide the best overall user experience.
