Now Open, the AVI-SPL Experience Center Showcases Epson's Next-Generation Laser Display Technologies

It's that time of the year. The leaves are changing, the temperatures are dropping, AND it's time for the largest combined technology exhibition and conference in North America. I'm talking about InfoComm. Products from around the world will be shown off to attendees, and I hope new product announcements will flow. The exhibition is produced by the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association (AVIXA) and currently ranks as the 28th largest trade show in the United States.

Today, October 27, 2021, Epson dropped the news that they have formed a partnership with AVI-SPL and Igloo Vision to bring a 360-degree immersive laser experience display center to Orlando, FL. This new center from AVI-SPL, the world's largest digital enablement solutions provider, is now open, bringing together technologies designed to inspire AV leaders.

As a full partner in this display experience, Epson features a wide range of professional projectors, including but not limited to the Epson Pro L1075UNL with the ELPLX01 ultra-short-throw lens and BrightLink® 1485Fi, which I reviewed in April. The projectors are integrated into this experience using a custom mounting solution designed and built by local Orlando manufacturers. Epson, AVI-SPL, and Igloo's partnership represents the epitome of leading-edge yet turnkey solutions, providing design, cutting-edge technology, implementation, and execution. In addition, each of these three companies operates around the globe on multiple continents, which means they offer global support through local resources.

So what is the benefit that this partnership provides both designers and customers? By leveraging the knowledge and skills of these three global companies in the new XTG experience center, Epson is looking to have a significant impact on guiding future leaders in the field.

"The new AVI-SPL XTG experience center enables designers and customers to see firsthand the power of immersive visual experiences and collaboration," said Brandon Brunhammer, Solution Architect, AVI-SPL. "With Epson's advanced laser projectors and Igloo Vision's powerful media players in full force and in the heart of themed entertainment, we're poised to inspire today's and tomorrow's experience center technology leaders."

This is not the first Immersive Experience we reviewed built around Epson professional projectors. Check out our other Epson Experience article below.

Let's take a brief look at Epson's two partners in this experience.

AVI-SPL

AVI-SPL is a digital enablement solutions provider. AVI-SPL works with clients to transform how people and technology come together to elevate the resulting experiences. Digital enablement allows AVI-SPL to create new value and enable organizations to thrive and grow.

As the largest provider of collaboration technology solutions, AVI-SPL is an excellent choice as one of the three partners in the 360-degree immersive laser experience display center with Igloo and Epson.

"Our highly trained team works hand-in-hand with organizations worldwide, including more than 80% of Fortune 100 companies."

"Our experienced teams strategize, design, deploy, manage, and support audiovisual (AV) and unified communications (UC) solutions that are simple-to-use, scalable, serviceable, and measurable to ensure business objectives are achieved."

Igloo Visions

Igloo Vision's Immersive Media Players power shared workspaces that can come in many shapes, sizes, and degrees of sophistication. According to Igloo, the Immersive Media Player is intended for clients and integrators who want to use Igloo's core technology to create their own shared immersive spaces, huddle rooms, retail installations, data visualization suites, innovation hubs, and Cave Automatic Virtual Environment (CAVE) but are frustrated by the limitations of traditional AV media servers.

Gavin Downey, Product Manager for Epson America, Inc., said it best in a recent statement about this partnership,

"Immersive displays are the key to power tomorrow's remote meeting solutions in corporate and higher education,"

"This partnership with Igloo Vision is driving small chassis and fully featured next-generation laser projector innovation that is best experienced firsthand. AVI-SPL's global partnership designing, installing, and supporting large scale Epson laser display solutions provide end-users with tomorrow's technologies today."

Epson's laser projectors provide creative possibilities and unparalleled audience experiences with advanced technology designed to deliver exceptional color output and durability. With its laser projection solutions, Epson offers a wide selection of lenses, including 0.35 ultra-short-throw with zero offset for installing a projector just inches from a screen or wall, ideal for narrow spaces and rear-projection applications.

These workspaces integrate with any digital content and a wide range of everyday enterprise tools, including standard video conferencing platforms. They also allow teams to work simultaneously with many different types of digital content, in various formats, from multiple sources. Organizations across various sectors use the technology to enable easier collaboration and immersive simulation, visualization, and presentations.

If you're an integrator looking to pitch an outstanding immersive installation, the Igloo Immersive Media Player is ideal. Vision mixing, warping, blending, video processing―everything that traditionally would require several hardware and software components patched together are all handled by the Igloo Immersive Media Player. All the functionality your clients would ever need is contained in a single box.
