Today Epson introduced their next generation Epson EpiqVision® Ultra LS800 4K PRO-UHD® Ultra Short-Throw 3-Chip 3LCD Smart Streaming Laser Projector. The EpiqVision Ultra LS800 Laser Projector combines an advanced ultra-short-throw lens with a laser-array light source to produce vivid colors and deep blacks. Delivering next-generation, ultra-short-throw technology, the new EpiqVision Ultra LS800 Laser Projector offers an incredible 4K HDR viewing experience up to 150-inches for exceptionally bright, colorful, and sharp projection in virtually any environment.

"Streaming live sports games with an epic, larger-than-life picture from the comfort of your home is the next big thing to being physically at a game," said Fernando Tamashiro, Product Manager, Epson America, Inc. "The EpiqVision Ultra LS800 Laser Projector brings an awesome viewing experience with complete content immersion while only needing to be placed inches from the wall. With a display size up to 150-inches, avid sports fans, gamers, and movie enthusiasts will feel like they are part of all the action."

The EpiqVision Ultra LS800 Laser Projector is equipped with proprietary 4K PRO-UHD, 3-chip 3LCD technology, and an incredible 4,000 lumens of color and white brightness, producing outstanding color brightness and accuracy. The EpiqVision Ultra LS800 Laser Projector includes the latest Android TV interface with a simple-to-use remote, including voice search. The built-in Google Assistant makes it easy to watch your favorite streaming channels. The LS800 features a built-in 2.1 channel virtual surround system from Yamaha. The EpiqVision Ultra LS800 also supports 4K HDR content with a refresh rate of 60 Hz and comes equipped with a dedicated HDMI port for gaming, supporting 1080p/120 Hz signals.

DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE

Featuring a sleek, modern design that sits inches from the wall for obstruction-free viewing, the EpiqVision Ultra LS800 Laser Projector fits seamlessly into various décor styles. With multi-point picture adjustment and individually adjustable feet, the projector offers a quick and easy setup for watching live sporting events, gaming on the latest console or streaming a blockbuster movie. Epson says that the EpiqVision Ultra LS800 Laser Projector was built to amaze users.

The projector features three HDMI® ports, fully compatible with virtually all color formats, depths, and spaces while supporting 4K HDR content at 60 Hz. It is ideal for gaming content, with one HDMI port dedicated to gaming and supporting 1080p/120 Hz signals.

BRIGHTNESS

The EpiqVision Ultra LS800 projector uses a laser light source that provides 4,000 lumens of color and white brightness, producing outstanding color brightness and accuracy.

The laser light source provides 20,000 hours of life when running in NORMAL light mode.

This projector features Epson's True 3-chip 3LCD technology that can display an equal amount of color and white brightness for every frame. This technology provides outstanding color accuracy while maintaining excellent color brightness without distracting "rainbowing" or "color brightness" issues seen with other ultra-short-throw projection technologies.

CONTRAST

The Epson EpiqVision Ultra LS800 features a dynamic contrast of over 2,000,000:1. The projector also features support for 10-bit HDR processing accepting 100 percent of the source information to reproduce HDR content for exceptional visual performance accurately. High Dynamic Range (HDR) expands the displayed color and contrast to create vibrant pictures with incredible depth and detail. The Epson EpiqVision Ultra LS800 HDR functions are designed to enhance projected video and gaming content for deeper blacks and brighter whites, greater detail in the same image's dark and bright parts, and greater detail within an extended color space. HDR support ensures that video displays at the ideal depth, detail, brightness, contrast, and wide color gamuts for all kinds of content.

The projector individually features advanced black density control, which pulses the laser light to precisely suppress stray light within the signal for deep blacks.

The Epson EpiqVision Ultra LS800 features Auto Contrast Enhancement that uses an ambient light sensor to automatically optimize the projector's picture brightness according to the amount of environmental light it detects, resulting in more contrast and a better sense of depth in the image.

COLOR

Epson 3-Chip 3LCD projectors produce vibrant color

Epson's LCD projection systems separate the light from the light source into three primary colors: red, green, and blue (RGB). Each beam of light passes through a different LCD, one for each primary color, creating a red image on one LCD, a green image on another, and a blue image on the third. The three beams are recombined into a single beam with a special prism before they reach the projection lens, thus producing a faithful and vivid full-color image.

In addition, Epson's Advanced Scene Adaptive Color Correction provides real-time automatic scene-based color correction, which produces a color-focused, clear, and realistic picture regardless of the content being played.

ANDROID INSIDE

The Epson EpiqVision Ultra LS800 includes smart streaming capability via the latest Android TV interface controlled with the included simple-to-use remote. The LS800 has voice search with the built-in Google Assistant. Users can watch their favorite streaming channels, including Amazon Prime, Hulu, Disney+, HBO Max, YouTube, and more. Users can even stream live TV with apps like YouTube TV.

Android TV is an easier way to enjoy the entertainment you love. Stream from the most popular apps. Play music, games, and more. Press the Google Assistant button and ask Google to search for the latest blockbuster, stream shows, or open multiplayer games.

Android can dim the lights by connecting intelligent home devices. Get all the top apps and games right on the screen. Watch, play, and do whatever you want, whenever you want, with 5000+ apps from Google Play. Put your small screen on your big screen. Quickly broadcast photos, videos, music, and other content wirelessly from compatible devices to the projector.

BIG SOUND

The Epson EpiqVision Ultra LS800 includes a fantastic sound system with Sound by Yamaha Built-in. The built-in 2.1ch virtual surround system designed by Yamaha exclusively for Epson creates an immersive sound performance with TV, sports, movies, and music presets.
