The Optoma HD72 home theater projector comes with a 2 year warranty on both parts and labor. There is no loaner, nor overnight replacement program. Such programs are fairly common on business projectors, but not on home models, although there are few, such as Optoma's top of the line H79.

In addition, there is a lamp warranty of 90 days.

Lastly Optoma advertises a "Zero dead pixel policy" for the 2 years. This is interesting because dead (or stuck pixels) are a LCD problem, not one associated with DLP projectors. In fact, I cannot recall having seen a DLP projector with a dead pixel.

Perhaps Optoma is just being smart, calling attention to a problem that people buying LCD projectors often are subject to.

Having one or a few stuck pixels never really bothered business users, but having a bright blue pixel (or red) stuck on all the time can drive home theater enthusiasts crazy. And, unfortunately, having just one or two such pixels behaving like that, is normally not covered by the warranties of LCD projectors (usually you need to have 3-6 pixels malfunctioning). Ultimately pixel issues are one of many differences between LCD and DLP projectors, some issues favor LCD, others, DLP projectors.
