Panasonic PT-FRZ60 Projector Review – Summary: Highlights, Pros and Cons

HIGHLIGHTS

The Panasonic PT-FRZ60 is designed for business and education applications. Like most Panasonic projectors we have reviewed, the PT-FRZ60 delivered an outstanding color reproduction out-of-the-box.

By utilizing multiple solid-state laser modules, the PT-FRZ60 can deliver 6,000-lumen brightness with excellent reliability. The projector’s light output is rated for 20,000 hours of low maintenance operation and can produce more than enough brightness to overcome the ambient light found in most large conference rooms and classrooms.

The PT-FRZ60 offers 2.0x zoom and a large amount of horizontal/vertical lens shift for ample installation flexibility.

The PT-FRZ60 had every connection and feature you would need in a classroom, museum, or lecture hall installation, including HDMI 2.0 and Digital Link (HDBaseT). While the PT-FRZ60 is a WUXGA projector, it can accept 4K@60P content via HDMI and DIGITAL LINK (HDBaseT) inputs for increased clarity and detail.

The unit’s liquid cooled laser light engine combined with a sealed optical assembly and a reusable air filter ensure years of care-free operation. At just 30dB (in quiet mode), the projector is also extremely quiet for a 6000-lumen projector. Panasonic PT-FRZ60 owners also receive a 3-year parts (Illumination parts is 3 year or 12,000 hours whichever comes first) and labor warranty.

Not only did the PT-FRZ60 offer all the installation flexibility you would expect from a business/education projector, its picture quality rivals that of many DLP-based home entertainment projectors. The PT-FRZ60 would be an excellent solution for museums, board rooms, and lecture halls where picture matters as much as brightness and ease of installation.
