P R E S S   R E L E A S E Acer H6500 Home Theater Projector Announced Delivers 1080p Full HD projection for movie theater quality images SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 29, 2012 – Acer America today announces the newest model in its home entertainment projector line, the Acer® H6500. Acer’s latest DLP projector offers 1080p Full HD projection with exceptional color fidelity even in environments with bright ambient light. It can display true 24fps 1080p video content from a Blu-ray Disc (BD) player via its HDMI interface, making it the perfect projector for showcasing widescreen movies created in the HDTV and Blu-ray Disc formats. With 1080p Full HD and an image projection of up to 300 inches, film viewing in the home is close to seeing it in a commercial movie theater. The new projector provides crisp, rich visuals with brightness up to 2,100 ANSI lumens, which can be dimmed to 1,680 to save power. Leveraging Acer’s eColor Boost II+ technology and wall-color compensation, the Acer® H6500 makes colors pop on any surface, even tinted walls. Plus, ColorSafe II prevents color decay by using DLP technology, which provides picture integrity even with prolonged use. Images are displayed in the native 16:9 aspect ratio, which can be adjusted to 4:3. An aesthetically-pleasing look and feel includes a white and gray matte finish and rounded contours. It’s also easy to transport, weighing just 5.6 pounds and measuring 10.6-inches (L) by 8.1-inches (W) by 3.3-inches (H). A range of outputs provide users with several options for accessing content. These include composite, component, USB, D-Sub and HDMI.
