LAS VEGAS, 2014 International CES — Jan. 7, 2014 — BenQ America Corp., an internationally renowned provider of visual display solutions, today unveiled the new W7500 home cinema projector. Featuring 2D to 3D content conversion, Panamorph lens compatibility, complete connectivity options, 1080p resolution, and an amazing 60,000:1 contrast ratio, the professional-grade device uses BenQ's Colorific™ image quality to turn any home theater setting into an immersive cinema experience. "BenQ's new W7500 projector has been designed to bring cinema-quality experiences to the home," said Bob Wudeck, Associate Vice President, Strategy and Business Development at BenQ America Corp. "Our latest high-end model is packed with advanced features to give home theater enthusiasts access to epic entertainment. When combined with extreme ease-of-use and flexible setup options, the W7500 becomes one of BenQ's most exciting Colorific innovations to date." Featuring high-brightness of 2000 AINSI lumens, full HD imaging, and an astounding 60,000:1 contrast ratio, the W7500 provides premium picture quality to today's quality-focused home cinema applications. For color precision that matches the human eye, the projector is compliant to the native Rec. 709 color gamut — one of the highest HD video standards available for professional-grade home projectors. The projector is also equipped with frame interpolation to reduce motion blur and make animation more fluid, and is ISFccc-certified by the Imaging Science Foundation® (ISF®) — enabling viewers to enjoy a professionally calibrated picture via optimized viewing modes. Using BenQ's Colorific image quality technology, the W7500 delivers accurate, crisp, and long-lasting color. As a result, users experience up to 1 billion stunning colors on their projection screens without experiencing light burn or color degradation over extended usage — reducing the devices' total cost of ownership. Expanding on the device's amazing feature set are the ability to convert 2D content into full-out 3D experiences — allowing any movie to come to life — and the integration of Panamorph lenses, which allows users to view content in the original Hollywood 2.35:1 widescreen format. To support the device's spectacular cinematic capabilities, the W7500 provides a wide range of flexible setup and connectivity options. These include dual HDMI connectivity to easily link external components, horizontal and vertical lens shifting for easy calibration, and a large 1.5 zoom ratio to make installation easy in any room configuration. The projector also comes ready with customizable presets — allowing users to easily adjust the device to their personal viewing preferences — and is equipped with a filter-free optical system which further reduces the projector's total cost of ownership. Available in Jan. 2014, BenQ's W7500 projector retails at a price of $2,799. More information on the full line of BenQ products is available at www.BenQ.us.
