Casio Debuts Pro Line XJ-H2600 and XJ-H2650 Projectors - Press Release

Casio XJ-H2600 projector

Comments by Projector Reviews staff: Casio entered the projector market seriously only a few years ago, with the first lineup of hybrid led/light source based projectors.  The first projectors were Slim-line projectors designed first for mobility.  Since then Casio has expanded its projector lineup into some mid-sized portable and fixed install projectors suitable for school classrooms and conference rooms.  With this announcement Casio moves solidly into more powerful projectors suitable for larger presentation environments.  The obvious strength of Casio's led/laser light source is that it should easily outlast the projector itself, so no expensive lamps down the road.  One of Casio's mid-sized projectors recently received our Best in Classroom - Runner-up award.  Impressive technology. Press Release CASIO ENHANCES ITS PRO SERIES LINE WITH HIGH BRIGHTNESS WXGA PROJECTORS New Models Build on Successful LASER & LED Hybrid Light Source Technology to Address Market Needs DOVER, NJ (JUNE 13, 2012)— According to Pacific Media Associates, the mainstream projector market for WXGA models is forecasted to grow by 35 percent over the next two years. To meet this growing demand, Casio America, Inc. is expanding its lineup with two new WXGA Pro Series projectors; the XJ-H2600 and XJ-H2650. The new Pro projectors, featuring Casio’s revolutionary LASER & LED Hybrid Light Source and a 3500 lumen output, will be exhibited at Casio’s booth (#C5020) during InfoComm at the Las Vegas Convention Center, June 13-15, 2012. “We are extremely proud of the success of our family of projectors. Casio will continue enhancing and evolving its unique LASER & LED Hybrid Light Source technology while delivering projection solutions that meet the market’s expectations and requirements,” said Matt Mustachio, general manager of Casio’s Business Projector Division. “With Casio’s second generation LASER & LED Hybrid Light Source, high brightness and upgraded resolution, the new Pro projectors meet market demands and offer a comprehensive set of features unmatched by competitive offerings.” The new Pro projectors continue to provide Lamp-Free, eco-friendly data projection at a fraction of the cost of traditional projectors with Casio’s state-of-the-art LASER & LED HYBRID Light Source technology. Casio’s LASER & LED HYBRID Light Source combines blue laser light and a fluorescent element to generate a high output of green light. The green light and the light emitted by red and blue LEDs are projected through a DLP® chip which, in turn, is passed through the projection lens to form an image achieving an increase in color spectrum compared with a mercury lamp, while lowering a projector’s total cost of ownership and maximizing investment. The XJ-H2600 and XJ-H2650 incorporate a wide range of connection options including two (2) RGB computer inputs, HDMI, composite and S-video inputs as well separate audio inputs for computer and video inputs. Outputs include an RGB monitor connection and a variable audio. The built-in 10 watt speaker provides audio reinforcement suitable for most installations.  An RS-232 port provides for control connectivity and the USB enable XJ-H2650 adds wired LAN capabilities for remote control and access. USB models also include compatibility with Casio’s wireless connections software for both Mac and PC, as well as connectivity with mobile devices (iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows Mobile) using the MobiShow application. Additionally, Casio’s Pro projectors are DLP™ 3D Ready and can display 3D content from a 3D capable computer. Professionals can alter the ordinary world of presentations by engaging audiences on a deeper level with vivid and exciting images that leap off the screen – essentially bringing the presentation to life. Furthermore, the XJ-H2650 is Interactive Whiteboard ready which enables users to transform any surface into an interactive workspace. The optional pen and software allow presenters to write and annotate on the screen or switch to “mouse” mode and control the PC, a perfect tool to incorporate in training sessions, lectures, meetings, etc. The new models, as well as most of the Casio line up, are covered by a three (3) year parts and labor warranty plus an industry leading five (5) year or 10,000 hour warranty on the light source. The XJ-H2600 will be available for an MSRP of $2,299.99 and XJ-H2650 will be available for an MSRP of $2,499.99.
