Press Release GOING MOBILE:  ELMO INTROS ITS FIRST MOBILE HD VIDEO PROJECTOR FEATURING LED LAMP, WIRELESS OPERATION, & MULTI-MODE DISPLAY Barely A Pound, New BOXi MP-350 Suited To Business, Education, Training, Movies, Gaming PLAINVIEW, N.Y., July 10, 2013:   Elmo USA, a global leader in document and imaging technology, has introduced its first portable LED video projector, the BOXi MP-350, a compact, 300-lumen powerhouse designed for mobile users who need HD (WXGA) resolution for presentations or entertainment use.   With a footprint of less than six inches square and weighing 1.1 pounds, the BOXi MP-350 is small enough to slip into a briefcase or shoulder bag yet delivers a bright image, up to 68 inches diagonally, with a 10,000:1 contrast ratio.   The new projector features Elmo’s short-throw lens, built-in wireless capabilities via WiFi or Elmo’s downloadable app, and the ability to project up to 4 images simultaneously in different quadrants of the same screen. “We designed BOXi for the mobile user, whether for work, education, or entertainment,” said Matt Takekoshi, Elmo USA’s president.  “BOXi provides an ideal combination of small size, big picture, bright image,  and wireless convenience.” Measuring 5.2” W x 5.6” D x 1.7” H, the BOXi MP-350 offers three display modes to tailor the WXGA image (1280 x 720 pixels) for the users advantage:  Presentation mode provides the optimal output for clear display of text and graphics; Cinema/Game mode automatically selects the settings to best display games and movies; and Photo mode optimizes the projector for the best reproduction of photographs and other images. Unique to the BOXi among mobile LED projectors is Elmo’s free downloadable app (BOXi for Windows and Mac and BOXi Air for iPhones and iPads and Android) that enables direct playback from today’s most popular mobile devices, and allows up to four users at once to project their images on the screen with BOXi play.   And with the projector’s short throw lens that can display a 50” image from only 3.3 feet from the screen, and can project an image up to 68”, there is plenty of space to display those multiple images – even when space is tight. The BOXi MP-350 also offers traditional WiFi connectivity built in to the projector – so no USB dongle is needed.   Additional connectivity options include HDMI and RGB, as well as a USB port for connecting to thumb drives or external hard drives. Audio is delivered through a built-in 1-watt speaker allowing it to be used for not only as a portable business presentation tool, but also for wide range of entertainment uses, including  movies or gaming while at home or when traveling.
