Sony offers a two years parts and labor warranty on the projector (in the US). They do not offer either a loaner program, or an overnight replacement program as a number of home theater projectors do.

Two years is the average warranty among home theater projectors. There are a few projectors with one year, and a respectable number offering three years. As repair costs for home theater projectors is typically very expensive once the warranty runs out, I normally recommend that you get at least two years warranty. Projectors with one year warranties typically offer extended warranties, which you need to factor into your total cost of operation
