Hi, everyone! I'm Philip Boyle with Projector Reviews. In this review, I want to talk with you about another incredible screen by Elite Screens, Inc. Yard Master 2 Folding Frame Design

In this review, I will be evaluating the 16x9, CineWhite screen version of the Elite Screens Yard Master 2 outdoor screen. Elite Screens calls the Yard Master 2 a fast, folding-frame, outdoor projection screen. The Yard Master 2's frame is built from lightweight yet strong aluminum allowing it to go from the box to fully assembled in a couple of minutes. Since Yard Master 2 requires only your hands to get the job done quickly, assembling it's as simple as unfolding the frame, attaching the screen material and legs, and standing it up.

EASY ASSEMBLY

Let me talk a little more about materials and assembly.

Elite Screen Transport Bag
Quick Easy Assembly

The Yard Master 2 feels like a premium product because it is one. The frame is made from high-quality aluminum meant to survive travel, assembly, and disassembly time and time again. Elite has taken great care to machine the screen frame with smooth edges and surfaces making it almost impossible to cut or pinch yourself during assembly and disassembly.

Easy Snapping Attachment

I've built a lot of screens throughout my professional career, so when I saw the snaps for attaching the screen, I was a little wary. In the old days, this was usually one of the more challenging parts of assembling a screen, but the material used in the Yard Master 2 has enough flexibility to make snapping the screen to the frame—Well… a snap. Once attached, the screen materials become tenser, which helps smooth out any creases or folds on the screen's surface.

The Yard Master 2 is the perfect companion for outdoor presentations or entertainment, with available front or rear projection material.

When it's time to break down the screen to put it away, Elite makes it just as fast to unlock the hinges with the push of a button allowing the frame and legs to break down quickly.

ASPECT RATIO AND SCREEN SIZES

CineWhite 16x9 Screen Sizes

The Yard Master 2 series screen seen here is a 90-inch, 16 x 9 version. The Elite Screens Yard Master 2 series is available in various aspect ratios, screen sizes, and screen material choices, depending on your specific needs. The 16:9 aspect ratio version is available in 55", 58", 75", 90", 100", 110", 120" and 135" screen sizes. There is also a 4:3 version of the Yard Master 2 that comes in 90", 100", 110", 120", and 135" inch sizes.

SCREEN FORMULATIONS

Elite Screens offers two different screen formulations for the Yard Master 2 system.

CineWhite Screen Material

The first is Elite's CineWhite® UHD-B (Tensioned Matte White) formulation. The CineWhite formulation comes in matte white. This material offers broad light dispersion through diffusion uniformity, black & white contrast, and true color rendition, making it the most versatile in Elite's tension screen product lines.

My experience: All the technical jargon aside, this screen displayed an excellent image with the LGPF610 projector I used in this demo. Colors were pleasing with little to no color shift.
