Optoma HD8200 - Warranty

March 28, 2008
Optoma provides a three year parts and labor warranty standard with the HD8200. Service is performed at Optoma's facility or authorized service centers. The HD8200 comes with a replacement program, which I always consider a real value add.

Most other 1080p projectors come with a two year parts and labor warranty, however, several popular projectors besides the HD8200 also have a three year warranty. Some of those would include the Epson Pro Cinema 7100 and 7500UB, the Sanyo PLV-Z3000, the BenQ W20000, all of which (but the Sanyo) have some replacement program.

Bottom line: The Optoma HD8200 warranty is one of the best available. It should be considered as having some real exta value, when assessing the value propositions of different projectors.
