Panasonic PT-AE1000U Projector Review - Warranty

The Panasonic PT-AE1000U provides a 1 year parts and labor warranty. Personally I find that to be too short, considering that repair costs on projectors are often fairly high. Panasonic is, of course not alone with a one year warranty, as others, including InFocus offer single year warranties. Still, a number of manufacturers offer longer, especially on more expensive projectors in this price range, including Optoma (2 years), Epson (2 years), BenQ (3 years), Mitsubishi (2 years).

The good news, is that many authorized dealers offer 3rd party extended warranties which are not expensive. Like any insurance, you take it out, betting that something bad may happen. The call, is yours.
