Sony VPL-VW95ES Projector Warranty

The Sony VPL-VW95ES comes with a three year parts and labor warranty. Sony has added that third year warranty for the first time here in the US. I note that in the EU the Sony warranty is also 3 years. There are a few competitors (based on price) with 3 year warranties, and even a couple with just one year. Overall, however two year warranties are the most common in home theater projectors priced between $5000 and $12,000.

Sony does not offer any replacement or loaner program (there are few in the under $10,000 market), however, as these VPL-VW95s are going to be sold by mostly medium and high end home theater specialists, expect additional support programs to be made available.

In other words, in its class, the Sony VPL-VW95ES has a longer than typical warranty!
