Color Temperature

Glossary_ColorTemp#1 - Projector Reviews Images

Projection color temperature measures the color of the light emitted by a projector. It is measured in Kelvins (K) and is used to describe the overall color "feel" of the projected image, with higher color temperatures producing a cooler, more blue-ish tint, and lower color temperatures making images with a warmer, more yellowish tint.

Most projectors have the option to adjust the color temperature to match the environment, and some projectors come with different preset color temperature options, such as "warm," "cool," "neutral," and "user-defined."

The human eye can perceive a difference in color temperature, and it's also affected by the ambient light, so it's a good idea to test the projector in the environment it will be used in and adjust the color temperature accordingly.
