The Canon WUX6000 is an very good performer that produces a sharp, bright image with good out-of-the-box color fidelity, that can be further improved thru calibration. With easy setup via its power zoom, focus and lens shift, as well as its variety of available lenses, it is easily integrated into any installation. The Cinema and Photo/sRGB picture modes are well suited to presentations that require accurate color. For the advanced user, its extensive grayscale and color management adjustment capabilities will allow it to be calibrated for photo and video presentations, which will enable it to display more accurate colors. Its black levels and contrast. while not in the same league as a good home theater projector, are very good for a bright business/installation class projector.
While there is no wireless network capability, that’s probably less of a concern for a projector that’s not intended for portability.
The warranty does not offer a rapid replacement program and it's length of coverage reduces to only 1 year for installations where the projector will be operated more than 12 hours per day.
Good as it is, the WUX6000 does not stand out from the competition in any one area. Some offer better focus uniformity, some offer better out-of-the-box colors, some offer better warranty coverage, and some offer better networking support. That being said, you could spend a lot more and do a lot worse than the WUX6000. It has a very good set of features and solid performance, all at a price that won’t break the bank. If you’re in the market for a large venue projector that can handle a fair amount of ambient light while still providing a clear presentation, the Canon WUX6000 certainly deserves your consideration.
