CEDIA 2026 delivered another exciting look at the future of Home Entertainment. I share my biggest takeaways from this year's show. From new projectors to the continued growth of dvLED displays, CEDIA remains one of the best places to see where the AV industry is heading

During the show, I had the opportunity to meet with many of the industry's leading manufacturers, including Epson, Barco, Sony, JVC, XGIMI AWOL Elite ProAV, and others. I discuss the products and technologies that stood out most to me, as well as the trends shaping home theater and home entertainment

One of the biggest themes this year was the continued expansion of dvLED display solutions, along with increasingly capable laser projection systems that offer greater brightness, flexibility, and image quality than ever before. I also cover several innovative display technologies, immersive experiences, and installation solutions that demonstrate how rapidly the professional AV market continues to evolve.

CEDIA 2026 Booth Tours and Manufacturer Interviews

Epson

Epson partners with Stewart Filmscreen to demonstrate how Epson high-brightness QL-series projectors can deliver premium projection in both dedicated home theaters and modern lifestyle spaces. At CEDIA AWOL, CEDIA showcased its award-winning Aetherion and VisionMaster models, along with a new flagship ultra-short-throw projector called the LuxVision, which combines premium performance with a highly customizable exterior. AWOL says the LuxVision delivers up to 6,000 ISO lumens along with 8,000:1 native contrast

SONY BRAVIA

At InfoComm 2026, Christie Digital showcased its new Korus Series 4K laser projector and demonstrated how its projection, image processing, and visualization technologies work together to create powerful visual experiences.

Barco Residential

At the Barco Residential booth, we take a closer look at the amazing new FREYA SST projector and Barco’s latest premium home cinema display solutions. The FREYA SST is based on Barco’s commercial cinema platform but is optimized for residential use, while the Runar is a direct-view LED system designed specifically for cinematic viewing.

XGIMI

At the XGIMI booth, we take a closer look at the Titan Noir Max and the new Aura 3 Max ultra-short-throw projector. XGIMI says the Aura 3 Max delivers 5,700 ISO lumens, an 8,000:1 native contrast ratio, and native 4K 120Hz support.

Kaleidescape

Tour of the Kaleidescape booth, where we take a closer look at the new Strato K movie player, Kaleidescape’s 4K Cinematic format, 8K playback, and the company’s latest high-capacity movie servers.
