Today at the Infocomm tradeshow in Las Vegas, NV, ViewSonic Corp showcased its soon-to-be-released line of Business to Business (B2B) projectors. These new projectors are part of ViewSonic's third-generation LED projectors designed for the business and education segments of the professional projection market.
Using LEDs as a projector light source has been growing in popularity, mainly due to their small size, low heat, and affordability. ViewSonic Corp is one of the projection industry's early advocates of using light-emitting diodes (LED) as a projector light source. Traditionally, LED light engines were found in smaller, more portable projectors such as PICO projectors. What PICO projectors lack in lumen output is more than made up for in their size, power consumption, and portability.

The Power for Business and Education Needs
Having already launched the LS500 and LS550 Series, ViewSonic will expand its B2B LED product lines in late-2022 by introducing three more series: the LS510 and LS610 Series offer 3,000 and 4,000 ANSI Lumens brightness, respectively, for use in small-to-medium-sized meeting rooms and classrooms, and the short-throw LS560 Series offers up to 3,000 ANSI Lumens, perfect for smaller rooms.

ViewSonic's B2B LED projectors achieve the same outstanding brightness levels as lamp-based projectors. Additionally, covering a wide color gamut (125% Rec.709), the LED projectors provide vibrant colors, offering true-to-life visuals with high-contrast performance.
LEDs also represent a greener solution compared to lamp-based light sources because they don't use mercury-containing bulbs. LEDs are a more sustainable solution as the technology uses up to 50% less power than lamp-based projectors while offering light source lifespans of 30,000 hours. LEDs are more reliable and provide an overall lower total cost of ownership versus lamp-based projectors, which require several bulb replacements throughout the product's life. Lastly, modern LED-based projectors can last longer and look better than their lamp-based counterparts.
LED light sources offer instant on/off capabilities that enable these projectors to be used immediately without waiting for them to warm up, thus reducing operating time and energy usage. Beyond efficiency, the projectors can also be swiveled 360 degrees, projecting onto floors, ceilings, or angled signage.
