JVC DLA-X55R Projector - Warranty

In the US, the JVC DLA-X55R comes with a two year parts and labor warranty (3 years in Canada, I believe).

Three years would be nice, as that's what we like to expect of higher priced projectors.  At pennies under $5000, most of the competing projectors near the price offer 3 years, including Sony's VPL-HW50ES and VPL-VW95ES (they straddle the JVC in price), Epson's Pro Cinema 6020, and Optoma's HD8300 to mention some of the other popular projectors.

Also, it should be noted that some of those mentioned come with a replacement program, for one year or more. That's a great feature, but JVC does not offer any replacement policy.

Lamp warranty is 1 year or 1000 hours, which ever comes first.  That's a step of from the basic 90 days or 500 hours, but nothing particularly special.
