ViewSonic M2 Review – Summary: Highlights, Pros and Cons

HIGHLIGHTS

The M2 is a very capable business and home media projector with built in Smart TV interface, document viewer, media player, and screen mirroring abilities. It is full HD (1,920x1080), lamp free, and produces up to a 100 inch image at just under 9 feet. Rated at 1,200 lumens, the LED light source is designed to last up to 30,000 “maintenance free” hours, and the built in Harman Kardon speakers are impressive to say the least.

The ViewSonic M2-smart 1080P LED projector with Harman Kardon Bluetooth speakers projector is a value at its $549.99 street price. The M2 is compact enough to take anywhere, and it is bright enough to be used in a room with some ambient light.  The projector has a surprising amount of features for a projector in this price range, including a “Smart TV interface,” document viewer, media player, app store, built-in speakers, and multiple input options. I have a hard time imagining something that cant be viewed on the M2.

It would not be my first choice as a designated home theater projector (though for the price, I could definitely live with it), and I wouldn’t use it for gaming due to the lag issue I encountered. Still, it is an excellent choice for someone who needs a projector suitable for a wide range of applications. If you are looking for a high-quality portable projector, the ViewSonic M2 is a projector you should consider.
