Last year, the older models of these two competitors shared the Best In Class award for the mid-priced class. This year, the Panasonic PT-AE4000 falls into the entry level class with it’s sub $2000 price, while the Epson Home Cinema 8500UB projector remains in the mid-priced class. The end result, for 2010, is that both newer model projectors picked up Best In Class awards in their respective categories (classes).
Because these are two of the best selling home projectors, I had written a comparison piece shortly after I finished the Epson review. Although that article doesn’t follow the same format as these comparisons, it makes little sense to re-invent the wheel. Also that comparison was written shortly after both were reviewed (11/09), not 5 months later (today). As a result, we are simply providing you with a link to the Epson Home Cinema 8500UB vs. Panasonic PT-AE40000 comparison.
You’ll find the link to the comparison, immediately below the table of contents.
